So, we were watching TV the other day and Mike finds this show on the Discovery Channel talking about how people shouldn't be alive. This story comes on about this guy that went hiking on the lava fields in Hawaii and got lost and stranded. We went on those same fields when we were in Hawaii last year. It is a tough terrain, especially at night. Everyone carries flashlights, but you are constantly walking over razor sharp rocks. We sat down to rest and turned off our flashlights at one point and were watching people go by. I remember this one girl fell and cut her hand, because her and her friend had only brought one flashlight for the 2 of them. It's just amazing to see how dangerous something that we've experienced could be for others.

Mike wanted to include this picture also. We were having fun taking pictures of this little "lava hole" and about an hour later, it erupted into a lava river.
