All You Need Is Love and George Strait

We went to Vegas for our annual George Strait super bowl weekend show.  I've seen him every year, except one, in Vegas on this weekend since 2004.  I figured out that this was my 16th overall time (I think) seeing George.  I've tried to see him at least once a year since college.  This year's show was the same as last years with Leann Womack and Reba, but we missed Leann last year.  Of course, Reba puts on a great show, so it's worth seeing her twice.

We also saw Cirque Du Soleil's Love show at the Mirage the night before seeing George.  It was a great show.  I loved the Beatles music, of course.

Summer Visitors and Fun

I guess it's time to post a little update. We've been a little busy the past month.

My cousin, Brigitt, came to visit us for 2 weeks in June. She managed to tour most of San Diego on her own as we were out of town or working most of the time she was here. She studied photography in college, so she was very busy taking pictures. I absolutely love this picture here she took of the panda cub at the zoo.

We went to Hollywood to see Wicked a couple of weeks ago, which was very good. We stayed with some friends the night before and went to The Getty Museum before heading to Hollywood. It's a very nice museum and has some great views of the LA area.

My mom and sister are in town for a visit. My sister and a friend of hers are going to Comic-Con dressed as their favorite Kingdom Hearts characters.

Our Christmas Weekend

We stayed in San Diego this year for Christmas and spent our time with friends and Mike's grandmother, Enid. We went to see How The Grinch Stole Christmas in Balboa Park, which is an annual event in San Diego. It was a fantastic performance. Mike and I also broke in our new wetsuits today scuba diving in the La Jolla Cove. We stayed nice and warm until the end of the dive, but only our hands and feet started to get cold. It also helped that it was 77 degrees outside today!
